BaFin has issued a consumer warning against three websites — onlinesparen.expert, onlinesparenglobal.com and ai-wallet.org — along with a product marketed as TradiasWallet, stating that unidentified operators appear to be offering deposit-taking, investment and crypto-asset services in Germany without the authorisation such activity requires. The regulator also flags that the operators have misappropriated the identity of a legitimate firm, Tradias GmbH, which has nothing to do with the offers.

For retail forex and CFD traders the lesson is a familiar one: an authorised-sounding name, a polished site and a nod to "AI" or fixed-term returns mean nothing without a verifiable licence. Cloned or borrowed corporate identities are a recurring tactic, so a name that matches a real German company is not proof of legitimacy.

Before depositing, readers should confirm a provider's authorisation directly in BaFin's own register rather than trusting details shown on the marketing site. For EU CFD exposure, stick to brokers holding a genuine BaFin licence or another EEA authorisation passported into Germany — entities whose regulatory status can be checked independently, not asserted.
